Hello, readers. Thanks for playing along and having fun with The Twizzy.
Here’s the big reveal on who The Twizzy Star of the Week was for Game 9.
This week we had 6 correct answers! Wow! I always love seeing that. It lets me know you guys are paying attention. The person who won this week must have been waiting by the computer. Seriously. The Twizzy was posted at 8:15 AM and she put her answer through at 8:17 AM. Lightning fingers! She then delightedly told me on Twitter that although she was missing listening to the Chris Moyles Show (Chris has been on holiday the last 2 weeks), she enjoyed playing my Twizzy. And, guess what? She was rewarded for her speed and powers of deduction!
Hey, Diana (a.k.a. @livyloorose), you won!
Others who guessed correctly were literally 1 and 2 minutes behind Diana. I’m duly impressed. Speed obviously counts though. Nonetheless, honorary mentions for @pcarlson001, @sjttrfmb (you almost won for the 3rd week in a row!), @bschumac, @readwritecook, and another 2-time winner, @wrightallison. Awesome job, ladies. AWESOME!
So, congratulations, Diana! Pick your prize from the following list and let me know your choice via DM or comment on this page.
Prizes consist of: An Uncommon History of Common Things co-written and donated by Bethanne Patrick (while supplies last), Seven Souls A Leaping co-written and donated by Kellyann Zuzulo (while supplies last), 1 copy of How to Sew a Button written and donated by Erin Bried, 1 copy of How to Build a Fire written and donated by Erin Bried, $15 Barnes & Noble gift cards (with 1 donated by the wonderful Kellyann Zuzulo), and Starry, Starry Nights or Macaroons that I’ll buy from Gesine Confectionary (www.gesine.com).
So who was the fabulous Twizzy Star of the Week for Game 9?
You know her.
You love her.
You’ve laughed at (and learned from) her Tweets.
You’ve seen me squeal over her chicken pictures.
You adored her first book and probably got some great recipes from it.
Oh, and hey, did I mention the official publication date of her second book, Sugar Baby, is today? April 1st? No? Well it IS. THAT is why The Twizzy Star of the Week for Game 9 was none other than the ADORABLE HEN-LOVING, PASTRY FIEND HERSELF, Gesine Bullock-Prado! @closetmastrbakr Thanks for playing, Gesine! Your answers delighted me – especially the Mae West quote. I was laughing about that for weeks.
Hope you enjoyed Gesine’s answers. Run on out and buy Sugar Baby. I have it. It’s fabulous – all except for her bizarre interest in the Red Sux, that is…
Hope everyone had fun. Your guesses, as usual, were funny. Have a great weekend and be back here Monday for The Twizzy – Game 10! Woo. Double digits! And remember, speed counts, follow the rules, and NO, YOU DON’T NEED TO KNOW THE STARS TO PLAY! Guess right away and every day. You might be the next winner.
